How to Take a Screenshot on HP Pavilion x360?

When one uses HP convertible Pavilion x 360 in the tab mode, one is not able to access the physical keyboard. In order to take screenshots without the keyboard, you need a touch button or software. 

Fortunately, Microsoft has various options for that. You can use a screenshot-taking app called Snip & Sketch in Windows 10. This app is actually an advanced version of the snipping tool. Presently, Windows 10 has both these apps but Snip and Sketch can replace the Snipping tool.

Below, We are Going to Discuss the Methods that You can Use to Take a Screenshot oN HP Pavillion X 360-

1) Use Snip and Sketch from Taskbar 

One of the ways to access your Snip and Sketch app is to select the ink workspace button on your taskbar.

Below are the steps that you need to follow to access the app. 

Step 1: You need to add the ink workspace button on your taskbar. In case this button is already added, then go to the second step. Just right-click anywhere on the taskbar and select the Show Windows Ink Workspace button. 

Step 2: Once you add this button, you will see a pin icon on your taskbar. Select it and then select Fullscreen Snip from it. 

Step 3: This will take a screenshot of the entire screen. To view this screenshot, you need to open the Snip and Sketch app. You can make changes to it before you save it. 

2) Screenshot with an HP Active Pen 

In case your laptop comes with an active pen, then you can use this pen to take a screenshot. In order to take a screenshot, you need to install an HP Pen control app by going to the Microsoft app store.

Once the app gets installed on your device, open it. After that, click on the drop-down box under one the buttons. Select the option of Take Screenshot and then click on Apply. 

In order to capture the screenshot, press the same button on your pen. Also, keep the pen close to the screen. Now, the screenshot will be saved in the screenshot folder on your PC. To access this folder, you need to do to This PC, Pictures and then go to Screenshots folder. 

3) Use the Print Screen Key to Take a Screenshot on HP Pavillion X 360

Every Windows keyboard has a print screen key. This key is located on the upper-right side of your keyboard. On the print screen key, you will see the abbreviation prt sc. If you press this key, then you can take a screenshot of the entire screen.

However, this screenshot does not get saved automatically. It gets copied on the clipboard and then you need to paste it in Paint. After that, you can save it.

4) Capture a Screenshot and Save it Directly

The shortcut mentioned above does not save the screenshot directly on your computer. If you wish to save the screenshot without using a third-party app, then you need to press the Windows key together with the print screen key. When you do this, your screenshot will be saved under the PC and Pictures. 

5) Use the Snip and Sketch Tool by Pressing the Print Screen Key

If you really like using the Snip and Sketch app, then you can use the print screen key to open different screenshot modes of the Snip and Sketch app. To do this, you need to carry out the steps mentioned below. 

Step 1: First of all, go to the Start menu and then open the Settings app. After that, select the option of "Ease of Access". 

Step 2: Now, select Keyboard from the options given on the left side. Go down on the right side and then turn on the toggle right next to the PrtScn button to launch the screen snipping below the Print Screen shortcut.
